When I first launched my blog, I wanted to make extra bucks. But I didn’t know how. Then I decided to publish as many articles as possible just to get approval from Google AdSense. Most of them were copied. I was a noob blogger back then and had no idea how to start a blog. Not surprisingly, the AdSense Team didn’t want me to partner with them and declined my approval request. Then I dug more into AdSense Program’s Policy and tried to improve my bloopers.
With some formidable patience and self-restraint, my site finally got approved on AdSense program. I won’t lie, I literally applied for more than dozens time for approval but each time they humbly declined with the message like this:
I also got other few reasons for my application diapproval:
- Copyrighted material enlisted in your site.
- Your site do not comply with Google AdSense Policies.
- Insufficient Contents on your site. (Now this is the most important issue you need to recover)
Anyway, in this article, I am going to show you how exactly I got Approved from Google AdSense program in less than a week. As you see, Google is extremely strict these days. Back then, it was super easy to get approve on this program. But now, things have changed a lot.
Since the site is reviewed by a Human, you need to convince him/her if your site is eligible enough for this program.
Let’s begin !!
How to Get Approval From Google AdSense
#Consider Your Domain Age
The very first thing review team do is check the the age of the domain. In countries like India and China, Google strictly demands your age of domain name to be not less than 6 months. There are, however, some cases where website owners get their AdSense approved even with the fresh domains but it is once in a blue moon. 6 months is more than enough time for you to prepare quality contents and be eligible for this program. Patience is a virtue.
#Focus on Quality Contents
Content is King. If you are publishing a content, you need to focus on quality rather than quantity. Because Google seeks something on your site that is useful to the visitors. Many bloggers make a crucial mistake by writing many blog posts as possible in short span of time just to get approved for Google AdSense program. In return, Google simply reward you with a simple mail, “Insufficient Content“.
If you are using WordPress, publish at least 35-40 quality contents. Write 2 or 3 articles of more than 2000 words. Moreover, focus on grammatical mistakes as well because Google gives a lot of value and attention to the quality of the content of the blog before accepting it. If the content is poorly written and has many grammatical mistakes Google will reject the site right away.
#Exclude Prohibited Contents
Google likes to work with generous and honest bloggers. They will take your application as a serious felony if your blog contains any of the prohibited content mentioned in the policy. Recent research shows that if your website has quality contents related to health, technology, travel, internal marketing, etc. your account go through a faster approval process.
Do not apply if your site contains:
- Adult contents
- Illegal contents
- Dangerous or violent contents
- Drug related contents
- Hacking and crawling contents
- weapon-related contents
- inappropriate and Misrepresentative contents
#Design Your Blog Properly
Well designed blog is appreciated by everyone. Google always want visitors to get the best experience while browsing a website. Let’s take an example. If you visited a website with a full black background with white text on it. What will you do? You’ll instantly close the website and never visit again.
On the other hand, Google do not hesitate to reject the websites which are poorly designed and very difficult for the users to understand. Further, you must have a clean and neat design which is beautiful in the look and has proper navigation. Purchasing premium theme (which costs less than $50) is highly recommended.
#Exclude Third Party Ads and Affiliation Before Applying
Before applying to AdSense Program, make pretty sure that you don’t have any ads visible on your website. IT is because Google is very strict about how viewers can experience your site. They don’t want their Ads to get distracted by other serving Ads. Also, your third-party ads may confuse the Google team as a part of your website’s content while reviewing your site.
So, therefore, if you have third party ads on your blog, Google will reject your application right away.
#Include Important Pages
Google seeks your identity before approving your AdSense program request. If you include these pages, Google processes speedy approval time. Make sure you include following pages:
In “About” page, mention who you are, what you site is about, and who is the targeted visitors are. In “Contact” page, clearly mention your mailing address and it is best to include the contact form so that visitors can easily contact you.
#Integrate Google Analytics and Search Console
Adding Google Analytics onto your website show that you are dead serious about the tracking statistics of your visitors on your website. If you are using WordPress site, Google MonsterInSights is the most recommended Analytics plugin trusted by millions to integrate on your site.
But first thing first, you need to create your Analytic Account from here.
#Create XML sitemap,xml and Robots.txt page
Google will consider you as a serious blogger if you include sitemap.xml and the robots.txt files on your blog. They are not the direct factor for AdSense approval but the trust factors.
Besides that, sitemap helps your site helps search engine bots to index your pages faster and robots.txt file will remove unwanted junks in Google. Either way, they will help your site to rank better.
#Google/Bing Webmaster Verification
Google Webmaster verification is important if you want to track your site’s search performance with the help of Google Search Console and browse around for Google Webmasters. Furthermore, it is a great means for AdSense verification as well. It takes less than a minute to sign up in Google Webmaster. Just register with your google account and add your website for verification.
Same goes with Bing Webmaster.
So these are the guidelines to get Approval From Google AdSense super fast. Once your blog is ready with all the above instructions, go to AdSense SignUp and add your website. Wait for a few days for a first process review.
After 2-3 business days, the AdSense team will send another email to add the script on your website. Put the script right below the </head> section and wait for another 2-3 business days. Sometimes it takes weeks and even a month. It depends on your website’s eligibility to meet the AdSense Policy.
If your application get approved, start monetizing your blog. If they decline your application for some reasons, study the email carefully and focus on improving that particular issue.
